High precision Lumsden grinding experts
Surface grinding is used to produce a smooth finish on flat surfaces. It is a widely used abrasive machining process in which a spinning wheel covered in rough particles (grinding wheel) cuts chips of metallic or nonmetallic substance from a workpiece, making a face of it flat or smooth.
Up to 132" Diameter ( 3352mm ) will remove stock material from profiled parts in a very quick and cost effective way.
Batch grinding of parts can create a very uniform thickness with standard grinding tolerances of +/- 0.25mms.
Tighter tolerances can be achieved dependent on the size of profile.
